We are looking to significantly expand our team over the coming year with positions available for physicists and engineers of all levels of experience, developing new technologies towards commercial readiness. We are particularly looking for applicants with multi-disciplinary skills and experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, product engineering, electronic engineering or medical devices.

Role

There are a number of roles available ranging from senior technologists with 10+ years experience, to development engineers or scientists with 5-10 years experience in technology development, to applicants with less than 5 years industrial experience. Applicants will be assigned to lead or be part of project teams, acquiring, evaluating and developing new technologies. Applicants will be involved in more than one project at a time and be expected to contribute across a wide range of technology domains. Projects will be cross discipline and will usually involve a mixture of market focussed research, lab based research and development, workshop based prototyping, and intellectual property protection. Applicants will build and maintain personal excellence in their disciplines through ongoing training and networking. Applicants will also be expected to interact heavily with customers in the market place and with scientists and engineers in our partner universities.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential: Applicants from a wide range of skills and technical backgrounds will be considered for these roles. All applicants must have either a PhD, or a Bachelor degree / Masters with at least 3 years industry experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills are required, coupled with high levels of initiative and motivation. Applicants need to be bright, outgoing, technically excellent, and dedicated to building a new and exciting company.

Desirable: Previous experience of technology development or of product development in either an academic or industrial background is an advantage. Cross-disciplinary knowledge or experience is also an advantage.
